One-day IADC training is now being provided to EMDR-trained therapists on an individual basis. Dr. Botkin trains people individually rather than in a group format because of the increased individualized attention he can give to each trainee. Dr. Botkin is currently available to do trainings on Saturdays. If you fly in from out of state, you may stay at the Hampton Inns next to the office and about 30 minutes by car from O’Hare airport. Their phone number is (847) 478-1400. We suggest you fly in on Friday and either leave Saturday night or visit the local bars/restaurants, which are all within walking distance, and leave sometime Sunday. Training starts at 9 a.m. and finishes around 4 p.m.
Training Details
- You must bring a copy of your Level One EMDR training certificate (the minimum requirement for IADC training).
- The morning session will consist of Dr. Botkin's presentation of the necessary basic changes to standard EMDR, a detailed description of the IADC procedure, and a tentative theory that supports NDE/ADC/IADC experiences. In the afternoon, Dr. Botkin will either role play a client for you in the IADC induction, or, if you choose, Dr. Botkin can perform the IADC procedure on you. If you live in the area, you may schedule one of your own clients to arrive in the afternoon and experience IADC therapy you provide under Dr. Botkin's supervision.
- You will receive a certificate of training at the end of the day.
- After the training, Dr. Botkin will be available to you by phone and e-mail for consultation about any technical issues that may arise as you provide IADC therapy to your patients/clients.
The current price for the one day training is $850.
A Note from Dr. Botkin
I look forward to meeting with you. This discovery is very new, and my future associations with others who are IADC trained will not only be important to me in a professional way, but in a personal way as well. We will have a shared mission, and the potential for professional networking and groundbreaking research is beyond what I can even imagine at this point.
